Overview:
Green and Blue has been designed with privacy and relaxation
in mind. This is the place to come to escape all ordinary stresses and relax in
total peace. Its traditional Zanzibari style bungalows and villas are dotted
around lush gardens in a peaceful bay opposite Mnemba Island Atoll. The service
is attentive and the food is fresh and exotic.
The staff at Green and Blue are at your service 24 hours a
day. You can eat where and when you choose, be it in the restaurant, on the
beach with sand in your toes, on your private veranda or in your room. Green
and Blue pride themselves on their good food and the menu and wine list have
been expertly put together.
You can indulge in the Spa, stroll on the beach or take a snorkeling
trip to the kaleidoscopic waters of Mnemba Island. The beach at Matemwe is
magical, particularly at sunrise when the first Dhow boats go out and the local
women begin collecting seaweed.
Room description and facilities
The rooms at Green and Blue are attentively designed and
decorated in an authentic Zanzibarian style. There are 7 Garden Bungalows, 3
Pool Front Bungalows, 3 Ocean Front Bungalows and 1 Ocean Front Villa. Each has
a private outdoor plunge pool, lounge area, double bed, bathroom with toilet
and shower, telephone, desk and outdoor shower.
Bungalows
The Sea Breeze Bungalows are generously sized, and elegant
in their design with two levels and a private outdoor area. The lower level
contains a lounge area with curved Baraza benches, double bed, bathroom with
shower and toilet, telephone (with staff on call 24hrs), and storage space.
The upper level has a desk, lounge furniture, or
alternatively two sofa beds for children. In the outdoor area you have a
private veranda with canopy, outdoor tub and a large outdoor shower.
Ocean Front Villa
The Luxury Ocean Front Villa is perfect for honeymooners
looking for that extra special space. It is also great for a group, as it can
accommodate up to 4 people. This is the largest room, with stunning sea views.
