Overview:

Mafia Island Lodge is a little tropical paradise in the Indian Ocean that's famous for deep-sea fishing and scuba diving; with an abundance of aquatic life and pristine coral gardens due to the protection of the Mafia Island Marine Park. It is the southernmost of three islands in the archipelago (along with Pemba & Zanzibar) located just 25km off the coast of Tanzania - reachable by light aircraft in 35 minutes or 45 minutes from Zanzibar and the Selous Game Reserve.

Mafia Island Lodge is nestled amongst tall palms on a sandy beach in Chole Bay. It has a welcoming, relaxed and laid-back atmosphere.

Mafia Island is in the heart of the marine park on South coast of Mafia. The warm, colourful waters of the Indian Ocean surrounding Mafia Island provide an ideal location for many sea activities. Aquatic life is abundant. The dual influences of the river and the sea create a rich biodiversity. A unique and perfect destination as part of a safari package or simply a place to unwind and get away from the daily, modern and busy world.
